This counts as work, I promise.

Advice from 'Girls Own Paper', 1886 -

'When you are in love with a gentleman, and he does not love you, it is better to think no more about it, and don't fall in love unasked again, but always behave like a lady, whether you are in love or not'

'CLEMENTINA must not think her doggerel lines are poetry just because she has tried to make them rhyme.'

'NELLIE is quite right to use her fork to eat her puddings whenever possible.'

Not so silly.

I've actually used at least 10 of the books I brought home! And I've written decent drafts of 2 of the 3 things due in at the start of October. I feel proud.

Moving and books, again.

I am taking a silly number of books home, as always. I think I panic about being away from the libraries for so long.

Unreasonable expectations.

No. of books I took out of libraries to read over the holiday - 26 (including 3 novels)
No. of books I actually read - 4 1/2 (including 2 novels)

Noooo.

I'm worried I might be developing an allergy to cats. Ever since I've been home this holiday I've had a scratchy feeling in my throat, like I'm about to get ill, but I haven't. And when I hug either of the cats in a way that brings them close to my face my nose itches.

I am attempting to write an essay on Victorian religion. It is not going well.

First tutorial.

I don't think I said anything particularly stupid. However, I definitely did skip out 15 years in my essay entirely by accident.

Settling back in.

My exam is over, I'm ahead with work, all is well.

Other than my reading list containing non-existent books, and libraries running out of things. But google books saved the day, so it's fine. Yay for the Internet!
